Steiner Dairy
Located in Ohio's Amish Country...

Steiner Dairy Co., founded in 1833 and is reportedly the oldest operating cheese factory in the United States. The company’s legacy dates back to 1833 when a young Swiss immigrant named Jacob Steiner settled in the Ohio Valley and began a cheese making venture. Steiner Dairy was operated in the Steiner family until 1995. Stanley Mullet, who is the owner now, had worked for Steiner Dairy prior to taking it over a few years ago.
